The Role

We are hiring a Corporate Counsel with 4+ years of experience to join our expanding International Commercial Legal department. This role is ideal for a self-sufficient, mid-level attorney based in the United Kingdom who is comfortable working in a globally distributed environment.

What You Will Be Doing

• Contract Lifecycle Management: Manage the full legal lifecycle of Public Sector contracts, including Cloud/SaaS, Software Subscriptions, and Professional Services agreements.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018; advise on regulatory obligations for supplying cloud services to the Public Sector.
• Procurement Support: Assist Sales and RFP teams during live procurement processes, including reviewing ITT/RFP requirements and drafting legal responses.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the UK Legal Director, Security Controller, and global legal teams across the USA, EMEA, and APJ.
• Process Improvement: Help build and strengthen workflow processes between Legal and other departments, leveraging AI tools and automation.
• Advisory: Keep abreast of legal/regulatory developments and proactively advise the business on implications.

What You Bring

• Qualified and legally permitted to practice law in the United Kingdom.
• 4+ years of experience drafting and negotiating technology contracts (Cloud/SaaS, DPA, etc.) with Public Sector customers.
• Strong knowledge of public procurement law, public law principles, and cyber/information security obligations (e.g., Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, NCSC guidance).
• Ability to balance legal risks with business strategy.
• Experience managing technology contracts for central government, local authorities, or regulated public sector organizations is preferred.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, distributed environment with shifting priorities.
