Senior Engagement Manager - Germany

About the Role

As a Senior Professional Services Engagement Manager for Germany, you will drive GitLab’s regional growth by structuring services engagements that foster long-term customer success. You will act as the bridge between technical solutioning and customer requirements, designing outcome-oriented engagements that translate complex DevSecOps transformations into measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

• Relationship Management: Build trusted advisor relationships with division chiefs, program managers, and technical leaders.
• Discovery & Scoping: Conduct discovery sessions to understand current-state capabilities and business objectives.
• Proposal Design: Develop custom-scoped Statements of Work (SOWs) and staffing plans that align GitLab capabilities with customer success metrics.
• Commercial Leadership: Guide customers through procurement, contracting, and commercial negotiations.
• Lifecycle Ownership: Manage the engagement lifecycle from initial pre-sales solutioning through to delivery transition.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with sales, solutions architecture, and delivery teams to ensure deliverability and strategic alignment.
• Forecasting: Maintain accurate services bookings forecasts and track key performance indicators (KPIs).

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated experience structuring, scoping, and selling professional services in the region.
• Proven success in pre-sales, including designing outcome-oriented proposals and custom SOWs.
• Solid understanding of SDLC, DevOps practices, and cloud transformation initiatives.
• Strong executive presence with excellent facilitation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and asynchronously in a fully remote environment.
