Senior Program Manager, Enterprise Technology & AI - GitLab

About the Role

As a Senior Program Manager within GitLab's Enterprise Technology & AI (ETA) organization, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technology programs. You will act as the connective tissue between Technology, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Product teams to drive strategy and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Program Ownership: Lead end-to-end management for high-visibility Enterprise Technology, AI, and Data initiatives, including scope, roadmap, and dependency management.
• Operational Transformation: Drive programs that improve business processes, increase scalability, and reduce friction for internal teams.
• Stakeholder Alignment: Partner with cross-functional leaders to define success metrics, evaluate trade-offs, and translate strategy into actionable plans.
• Governance & Reporting: Drive operating rhythms, including status reporting, RAID management, and executive-ready communications.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify program risks and blockers early, recommending practical solutions to senior leadership.
• AI Integration: Support the adoption of AI-enabled workflows and automation to enhance enterprise productivity.
• Culture: Model GitLab’s async-first, high-trust culture through clear documentation and remote collaboration.

What You'll Bring

• 7+ years of program management experience, specifically delivering cross-functional Enterprise Technology, AI, or Data programs.
• Proven ability to simplify complex processes and navigate ambiguity.
• Strong influence without authority; experience aligning diverse stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Sales, Product).
• Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for executive-level presentations.
• Familiarity with enterprise domains (business systems, data, security, or infrastructure).
• Experience with Architecture Review Boards or technical governance forums is strongly preferred.
• Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe methodologies; PMP or CSM certification is a plus.
• Experience working in a globally distributed, async-first environment.
