An Overview of This Role
As a Solutions Architect at GitLab based in Singapore, you’ll help prospects and customers understand how our Agentic DevSecOps platform supports their technical requirements and business goals across fast-paced AI-driven software development lifecycles. You’ll act as a trusted technical advisor through complex evaluations, guide teams through digital transformation, and connect customer needs back to our product direction.
Reporting to a regional Solutions Architect leader, you’ll collaborate with Account Executives and cross-functional partners across Asia. You’ll focus on platform adoption, strong technical evaluations, and building trusted relationships across modern software delivery, cloud, security, and emerging agentic AI workflows.
What You Will Do
- Work with Account Executives and regional sales teams to shape technical account strategies that increase qualified pipeline and support expansion opportunities.
- Run technical discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and validation activities to define success criteria across the software development lifecycle.
- Own technical evaluations as the primary point of contact, including proofs of concept, proofs of value, solution design, and workshop delivery with clear documented outcomes.
- Develop solution architectures that align GitLab capabilities with customer environments, priorities, and operating models.
- Guide customers on modern software development practices, including CI/CD, security, and cloud adoption.
- Build strong relationships with technical practitioners and business stakeholders to strengthen alignment and shorten decision cycles.
- Create reusable technical collateral, best practices, and examples that improve team effectiveness.
- Provide customer feedback, field insights, and market observations to Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to influence roadmap priorities.
What You Will Bring
- Minimum 2+ years of presales or equivalent client-facing technical experience with a total of 5+ years of industry experience.
- Demonstrated ability to run technical evaluations such as proofs of concept, proofs of value, workshops, tenders, audits, or value stream assessments.
- Working knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including DevSecOps practices and CI/CD workflows.
- Competent knowledge of generative AI and agentic technologies is a plus.
- Hands-on familiarity with GitLab or similar DevSecOps/software delivery platforms.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to adapt technical messages for engineers, technical managers, and senior business executives.
- Proven strength in building credibility, listening carefully, and cultivating technical champions.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and self-managed environments.
