An Overview of This Role

As a Senior Solutions Architect, you will serve as a trusted advisor to GitLab prospects and customers across the MEA region, demonstrating how GitLab's AI-powered DevSecOps platform meets technical requirements and business objectives across the software development lifecycle. You will guide organizations through digital transformations, leveraging cloud expertise, modern development practices, and customer empathy.

Reporting to a regional Solutions Architect Manager and collaborating closely with Account Executives and cross-functional teams, you will lead technical evaluations, design solution architectures, and act as the voice of the customer back to Product Management.

What You'll Do

• Lead technical discovery, demos, and validation to demonstrate how GitLab's DevSecOps platform addresses complex technical and business requirements.
• Drive technical evaluation processes as the directly responsible individual, including proof of concept/value ownership, workshop design, tenders, and value stream assessments.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams to execute account strategies supporting customer acquisition and expansion.
• Establish and deepen relationships with technical practitioners and executives, guiding them through GitLab-driven transformation.
• Advise customers on modern software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud practices.
• Advocate for customer needs by sharing feedback, use cases, and competitive insights with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.
• Maintain technical expertise in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and cloud architectures, authoring reusable collateral and best practice guidance.
• Actively invest in continuous technical learning, mentorship, and team development.

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated pre-sales technical consulting or solutions architecture experience guiding customers through architecture evaluations.
• Deep understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevSecOps practices, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on technical experience with GitLab or comparable source control, CI/CD, and developer collaboration platforms.
• Practical knowledge of cloud computing architectures, security standards, and modern deployment models.
• Experience leading customer technical evaluations, proofs of value, tenders, and workshops.
• Outstanding technical communication, presentation, and relationship-building capabilities.
• Prior experience working within the MEA region.
• Fluency in both Arabic and English is required.
• Willingness and ability to travel at least 25%.
