Overview
GitLab is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead our internal revenue infrastructure. This is a strategic platform product leadership role, not an external-facing position. You will own the roadmap for our enterprise systems, acting as the bridge between business strategy and technical execution while mentoring a team of analysts and engineers.
What You’ll Do
Internal Product Roadmap Ownership
- Define and maintain the multi-quarter roadmap for QTC and Finance Systems (Salesforce CPQ, Zuora Billing/Revenue, NetSuite, and CDot).
- Translate business strategy from Finance, Revenue Ops, and Sales into prioritized system capabilities.
- Balance stabilization, new feature delivery, and technical debt reduction.
- Lead quarterly and annual planning ceremonies with Engineering and Business Systems Analysts.
Stakeholder Partnership & Requirements
- Serve as the primary product voice for QTC and Finance initiatives.
- Lead discovery and requirements workshops to translate financial/commercial needs into system specs.
- Navigate complex cross-functional requirements, including SOX compliance and ASC 606/IFRS 15 revenue recognition.
Team Mentorship & Capability Building
- Act as a product craft mentor for the Business Systems Analyst (BSA) team.
- Instill best practices such as RICE/MoSCoW prioritization, user story writing, and sprint discipline.
- Evolve the team’s operating model from project-execution-focused to product-thinking-led.
Program Strategy & Delivery
- Lead major multi-quarter programs (e.g., consumption-based billing, ERP optimization) from discovery to go-live.
- Define dependency maps and own UAT strategy to ensure business requirements are met.
- Partner with Enterprise Architects on build-vs-buy-vs-configure decisions.
What You’ll Bring
- 8+ years of product management experience, with 3+ years in internal platform or enterprise applications PM roles.
- Deep domain expertise in Quote-to-Cash (QTC) systems: Salesforce CPQ, Zuora, and NetSuite.
- Strong command of revenue lifecycle processes (opportunity-to-quote, billing, revenue recognition).
- Experience operating in SOX-controlled environments.
- Ability to engage with engineering on API design, data models, and integration trade-offs.
- Experience with consumption-based or usage-based billing models.
