About Product Management

As a Product Manager at Grafana Labs, you'll develop a vision and strategy for your product domain. You will own the experience for your product as well as its roadmap and competitive positioning, collaborating with leadership on product goals. You will be the primary advocate and expert in your area, communicating effectively with both external customers and globally distributed internal stakeholders.

Product Managers bridge R&D and GTM, facilitating information flow and technically representing our products to customers.

The Role

As the Staff Product Manager for Enterprise Deployment Solutions, you'll own the Grafana Labs offerings that run outside our standard multi-tenant SaaS:

  • Grafana Federal Cloud: For organizations requiring FedRAMP-authorized observability (US federal agencies, SLED customers, and commercial companies selling FedRAMP offerings).
  • Grafana Cloud Bring Your Own Cloud (BYOC): Delivers the full Grafana Cloud experience while the customer pays infrastructure costs directly to their cloud provider.

Your mission is to make Grafana Labs the obvious choice for organizations unable to use standard SaaS due to compliance, data, or cost-at-scale constraints. You'll adapt existing capabilities to these environments, decide feature prioritization, and help shape future deployment models.

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Grafana BYOC and Grafana Federal Cloud, balancing customer value against engineering cost and technical constraints.
  • Own positioning, messaging, and differentiation for these offerings compared to standard Grafana Cloud; partner with Product Marketing on launches, enablement, and demand programs.
  • Partner with Engineering and Technical Program Management on deployment buildouts, balancing timelines with capacity.
  • Engage directly with strategic customers, prospects, field teams, resellers, and analysts on enterprise deployment options.
  • Partner with Security, Compliance, and Legal on product changes impacting authorization or existing customer commitments.
  • Utilize AI tools daily to accelerate research, analyze product signals, and develop positioning.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience on a technical B2B product, or a technical background (software engineering, solutions architecture, SRE, TPM) with demonstrated product ownership experience.
  • Hands-on experience with non-standard SaaS deployment models (e.g., self-managed, air-gapped, sovereign, BYOC, single-tenant, FedRAMP/government cloud) and deep understanding of their product, operational, and economic impacts.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure, platform software, or developer tools.
  • Strong product and GTM judgment shaping how products are built, positioned, and sold.
  • Interest in working with US public sector customers and learning their needs and buying cycles (deep compliance expertise not required).
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams without direct authority, with excellent written and verbal communication in a remote, globally distributed setting.

Bonus Points

  • Experience selling to or building for US federal, state, or local government customers, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with government/sovereign cloud frameworks (FedRAMP, StateRAMP, BSI C5, SecNumCloud) or environments (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, sovereign clouds).
  • Experience with pricing and packaging across non-standard deployment models.
  • Experience with observability, monitoring, or data-intensive infrastructure products.
  • Experience working with resellers, systems integrators, or cloud marketplace partners.
  • Familiarity with open-source software or commercial open-source companies.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Range (Sweden): SEK 996,819 - SEK 1,196,182
  • Equity: Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) included with all roles
  • Time Off: 30 days global annual leave policy (including 3 company shutdown days)
  • Culture: 100% remote-first company with in-person onboarding and high-trust environment
