We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Director of Business Operations and Systems.
In this role, you will be at the forefront of optimizing our revenue and business systems ecosystem — spanning Sales, Customer Success, Account Management, Implementation, and Deal Desk. Reporting to the SVP of Operations, you will act as a strategic systems architect, RevOps partner, and team lead managing 2 direct reports.
You will bridge high-level strategy and hands-on execution: architecting system flows, managing Nue CPQ, driving forecasting and pipeline reporting, and leading day-to-day systems operations while mentoring your team.
Who You Are
RevOps Partnership & Revenue Strategy
- Strategic Business Partner: Trusted operational partner to Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Customer Success leaders for process optimization, territory/capacity insights, pipeline reviews, and GTM execution.
- Forecasting & Revenue Analytics: Skilled in building and maintaining revenue metrics, renewal forecasting, NRR/GRR tracking, and churn analysis to identify systemic revenue risks.
- Process Architecture: Experienced in mapping pre- and post-sale customer journeys, handoffs, and operational playbooks to drive retention, expansion, and team efficiency.
Systems Architecture & Tech Stack Governance
- Salesforce & CPQ Ownership: Hands-on architect and administrator for Salesforce (system of record) and Nue CPQ, owning product catalogs, SKU/packaging creation, pricebooks, custom attribute setups, and Deal Desk approvals.
- End-to-End System Integration: Expert in designing scalable data flows across interconnected GTM tools (Planhat, LeanData, Maxio, Outreach, Highspot, ChiliPiper) with minimal manual overhead.
- Data Architecture & Governance: Skilled in creating technical documentation, field libraries, change logs, and data quality standards that keep cross-system data accurate and audit-ready.
Team Leadership & Project Management
- Player-Coach & Team Lead: Proven ability to lead a small team — managing sprint intake, setting clear priorities, conducting flow/code reviews, and developing technical capacity.
- Project Delivery: Experienced in leading complex system implementations from requirements gathering through vendor evaluation, testing, deployment, and change management.
- Practical AI & Automation: Skilled in leveraging modern AI and automation tools to streamline workflows, enrich CRM data, and improve operational output.
What You'll Do
RevOps Leadership & Business Partnership
- Act as the primary operational partner for Sales, Marketing, Finance, and CS leadership — translating business priorities into actionable revenue strategies and system workflows.
- Own revenue operations, including renewal/expansion forecasting, weekly pipeline hygiene, NRR channel updates, and churn analysis.
- Manage Deal Desk operational reviews, order form templates, custom SKU controls, and monthly Finance reconciliations (SFDC Maxio) to maintain quote-to-cash alignment.
- Conduct quarterly pricing and discounting analysis in partnership with Finance and Product Marketing to evaluate historical trends and margin impact.
Systems Architecture & Administration
- Serve as primary architect and hands-on administrator for Salesforce and Nue CPQ, maintaining high system availability, flow logic, and data integrity.
- Co-own the business systems roadmap with the SVP of Operations driving structured intake, trade-off evaluations, and deployment release calendars.
- Manage the Planhat-to-Salesforce data flow, ensuring seamless bi-directional synchronization for customer health scores, renewal milestones, and usage data.
- Oversee user access provisioning, security configuration reviews, and license management across all GTM and revenue tools.
- Manage GTM system vendor contracts, renewals, invoice approvals, and systems budget allocations.
Team Management & Operations
- Lead, mentor, and direct a small team.
- Establish structured intake, prioritization, and sprint cadences for all RevOps and systems requests across the organization.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, architecture maps, and user training guides for all system modifications.
Success Milestones
First 3 Months
- Complete a comprehensive audit of the business systems landscape and successfully complete onboarding on Nue CPQ, taking full ownership of SKU management, pricebook updates, and Deal Desk approvals.
- Establish and document data governance standards across Salesforce, Planhat, and Maxio, delivering a remediation plan for identified data quality issues.
- Establish a recurring RevOps reporting cadence for post-sales leadership (NRR/churn analytics) and streamline the monthly SFDC Maxio reconciliation workflow.
- Achieve a measurable reduction in quote cycle time or CPQ order form error rate.
First 6 Months
- Design and deploy a semi-automated renewal tracking process between Planhat and Salesforce with automated status triggers and clear checkpoint ownership.
- Deliver at least three prioritized roadmap projects (e.g., LeanData routing optimization, CPQ structure cleanup, or automated attribution mapping).
- Reduce custom SKU exception requests by 20% through standardized Nue CPQ rules.
