We are looking for an Engineering Lead to strategically head the technical direction of the product, with full freedom in architectural decision-making while remaining hands-on in development.

About the Role

You see the business picture as a whole—not just the product, but adjacent departments (marketing, content, analytics)—and create technical solutions where they deliver maximum impact.

Your Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute the technical development strategy aligned with business goals.
• Design and implement end-to-end technical architecture that scales with the business.
• Make architectural and technological decisions with full autonomy.
• Translate business context into technical solutions and roadmaps.
• Directly manage the development team: iOS, Backend, AI, QA.
• Assign tasks, conduct code reviews, and provide technical mentorship.
• Optimize engineering processes for efficient and predictable delivery.
• Manage technical risks and ensure product stability.
• Participate in product decisions as a technical expert.
• Utilize AI in the development process and implement AI-first engineering approaches.
• Deliver technical solutions for marketing, analytics, and content as well as core product development.

Requirements

Engineering & Leadership

• 3+ years of commercial development experience.
• 1+ year of direct engineering team management experience.
• Experience building end-to-end product architecture: mobile + web + backend.
• Strong hands-on expertise in full-stack development.
• Experience using AI in development and driving AI adoption in engineering processes.

Tech Stack

• TypeScript (Mandatory)
• React, Next.js (App Router)
• Node.js, NestJS
• PostgreSQL (complex queries, indexes, large tables)
• REST API and integration design
• Docker
• CI/CD (GitHub Actions / Fastlane or equivalents)
• Understanding of full-cycle iOS development (architecture, release cycle, StoreKit, subscriptions)
• Understanding of Android development and web products
• Understanding of AI/LLM integration in products

Product Engineering

• Experience with product analytics and A/B testing (Amplitude or equivalent).
• Experience with monitoring and stability tools (Sentry, Grafana).

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with Swift/SwiftUI, MVVM/Clean Architecture.
• Experience with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose and Android stack.
• Experience with Redis, BullMQ and background processing.
• Knowledge of Drizzle ORM, Redux Toolkit, MUI.
• Experience with S3-compatible storage and Cloudflare.
• Experience with AppsFlyer, Firebase, and mobile attribution.
• Startup or indie product background.
