Our pace is our competitive advantage. KMA grows at least 3x year-over-year — and we are looking for a VP of Engineering to help us scale even faster.

The Role

The VP of Engineering will lead the Kiss My Apps engineering organization, spanning Mobile (iOS/Android), QA, and Backend/Platform. This role is built for someone who has already scaled engineering teams through managing managers, thinks in delivery metrics (DORA), and wants to build AI-augmented engineering as a standard practice rather than an experiment.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivery & Velocity: Own speed and quality of delivery across Mobile (iOS/Android), QA, and Backend/Platform, making delivery predictable and measurable via DORA metrics.
• Organizational Scaling: Design the organizational structure, hire, and develop engineering managers.
• AI-augmented Engineering: Scale the integration of AI into development (Claude Code, MCP, n8n) as a standard process with a measurable impact on velocity without sacrificing stability. Deliver internal technical solutions (AI, internal products, automations) to accelerate non-technical KMA teams.
• Engineering Culture & Standards: Drive code reviews, release processes, quality gates, product reliability, and tech debt management.
• Cross-functional Partnership: Translate business goals into engineering execution alongside C-level managers and heads of departments.

What We Expect From You

• 8–12+ years of engineering experience, including 4–6+ years in management (with experience managing managers).
• Proven experience scaling an engineering organization through multiple evolutions of processes and org structure.
• Strong technical background: the ability to make and challenge architectural decisions.
• Experience in mobile-first products: full-cycle iOS/Android development, release cycles, and subscriptions (StoreKit / Google Play Billing).
• Experience managing backend/platform teams: distributed systems, reliability, and API design.
• Experience building and scaling QA: test automation, quality gates, and release governance.
• Hands-on work with delivery metrics (DORA or equivalents).
• Experience implementing AI tools in software development.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience in a subscription/consumer app business (paywalls, A/B testing, LTV, mobile attribution).
• Experience with AI dev infrastructure: Claude Code, MCP servers, n8n, agentic workflows.
• Experience in an app holding, product studio, or venture builder.
