The Opportunity

We’re seeking a chronically online Copywriter for Kraken Pro. At Kraken, understanding our brand ethos, mission, and the traders we serve is essential, and copy is where all of that comes to life.

We’re looking for someone who writes fast but thinks sharp, thrives under pressure, and knows how to turn complex product features into lines that traders actually stop and read. This role demands a razor-sharp ear for language, a deep understanding of trading culture, and a self-starter attitude.

Responsibilities

• Write copy that converts: Craft punchy, high-impact messaging across campaigns, landing pages, emails, in-app experiences, paid ads, and social for Kraken Pro.
• Speak fluent trader: Capture the voice of Crypto Twitter (CT), FinTwit, and the trading floor, knowing when to be witty, direct, or let numbers do the talking.
• Launch narratives: Shape the narrative for new product drops and feature releases, turning technical updates into clear, compelling stories.
• Tone of voice: Help build and protect the Kraken Pro tone of voice across every touchpoint, from headlines to push notifications.
• Collaborate cross-functionally: Work hand in hand with Design, Product, Growth, and Social to brief, iterate, and ship copy that moves the needle.
• Test and learn: Run copy experiments, track performance, and iterate based on data insights.
• Ensure compliance: Partner with Legal and Comms to ensure compliant, accurate, and aligned messaging across regions and platforms.

Requirements

• Proven track record: Strong portfolio of copy that moved people to act, whether for a brand, agency, or personal projects.
• Experience: 3+ years in copywriting or content, ideally in fintech, crypto, or trading.
• Speed under pressure: Ability to write sharp copy quickly to match fast-moving markets.
• AI competency: High proficiency with AI tools to multiply your impact and keep up with demand.
• Versatile range: Experience spanning headlines, long-form, microcopy, scripts, threads, email flows, and taglines.
• Strong editorial taste: Knowing when to edit or cut a line is as valuable as writing one.
• Culture fluency: Deep familiarity with crypto, trading culture, and trader vernacular.
• Communication & Design collaboration: Exceptional writing and editing skills, with comfort working alongside designers in tools like Figma.
