Key Responsibilities
- Plan, research, write, and maintain documentation and learning content (concepts, tasks, tutorials, references, and in-product guidance) supporting product adoption and mastery.
- Integrate AI tools and workflows into drafting, structuring, technical validation, consistency checks, and content maintenance, applying human judgment and ensuring accuracy.
- Contribute to shared AI workflows and skills, seeking ways to improve and automate content creation and maintenance.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to turn complex technical architectures into clear, user-focused documentation.
- Test what you document by setting up and running software, executing procedures, and surfacing product and UX gaps.
- Use documentation and learning analytics alongside user feedback to prioritize work and measure content impact.
- Partner with documentation leadership to improve information architecture, voice, and discoverability for both humans and AI-driven search.
- Manage multiple documentation initiatives concurrently and mentor teammates to raise documentation quality across the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience documenting enterprise, infrastructure, or developer-facing software, supported by a portfolio of technical writing samples.
- Hands-on experience integrating AI tools and LLMs into your writing workflow, with the ability to explain verification and evaluation methods.
- Strong proficiency with docs-as-code tooling: command-line Git, GitHub (PRs and reviews), Markdown, and common IDEs.
- Comfort working in hands-on technical environments (e.g., command line, containers, or Kubernetes) to run and troubleshoot software independently.
- Experience collaborating with engineers and product managers to extract accurate technical requirements.
- Proven track record of working effectively in an asynchronous, distributed, remote team.
