The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Platform team and help us build secure, reliable, and scalable systems as Maze grows.

This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, reliability, and security. You’ll work across our platform to improve how we operate production systems, strengthen our security practices, and give engineers the tooling and infrastructure they need to ship quickly and confidently.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and evolve our cloud infrastructure with reliability, scalability, and security in mind
• Improve our observability practices and help engineers understand, debug, and operate systems in production
• Partner across engineering and security to strengthen our cloud security posture and operational practices
• Support security and compliance initiatives, including vulnerability management, security testing, and audit readiness
• Build tooling and automation that reduces manual work and improves the developer experience
• Bring an operational and security perspective to architecture and technical decisions
• Improve how we prepare for, respond to, and learn from production incidents
• Use modern AI-assisted and agentic workflows to build, debug, and operate systems more effectively

Requirements

• Experience building and operating production systems in a modern cloud environment (ideally AWS)
• Deep understanding of modern SRE and infrastructure practices, including infrastructure as code and containerized workloads
• Experience with observability, including monitoring, alerting, and production visibility
• A security mindset, with experience or interest in cloud security, vulnerability management, application security, or related areas
• Exposure to security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001
• Ability to automate repetitive work using code with proficiency in at least one programming language
• Excitement about AI-assisted development and active use of modern AI tools
• Comfort in a fast-moving, high-ownership remote environment
