About Us
Monarch is a personal finance platform designed to make financial management simple and stress-free. Since launching in 2021, we have become a top-recommended personal finance app by users and experts alike.
We are a remote-first team of do-ers led by experienced entrepreneurs. AI is core to how we operate: every team member uses it as a partner to sharpen judgment, move faster, and expand what is possible. Our team collaborates synchronously primarily from 9 AM – 2 PM PT and embraces asynchronous work across time zones.
The Role
Monarch is looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join our data team. In this role, you will own how we measure the product and learn from it by setting the bar for experimental rigor, investigating user behavior to identify conversion and retention drivers, and running our experimentation loop end-to-end. You will partner closely with peers on the data team and collaborate with growth, product, and engineering teams to enable data-driven decision-making.
What You’ll Do
- Own A/B test design and analysis, partnering with product managers on conclusions and actionable recommendations.
- Partner with the growth team across the full experimentation loop, including idea generation, opportunity sizing, test design, analysis, and iteration.
- Analyze user behavior and investigate anomalies to understand shifts in business metrics.
- Partner with product and engineering teams on upcoming feature launches by defining measurement approaches, success metrics, and event tracking.
- Provide insights for business decisions and communicate results across the broader organization and leadership.
- Automate recurring workflows without compromising quality.
- Build new datasets and data pipelines while helping maintain and upgrade existing data infrastructure.
What You’ll Bring
- At least 4 years of experience in a product analyst or similar role, preferably at a growth-stage company.
- Advanced knowledge of statistical methodologies for A/B testing, experimentation design, and analysis.
- Strong ability to navigate ambiguity, evaluate speed-versus-accuracy tradeoffs, and formulate structured problem-solving approaches.
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with experience translating technical topics for non-technical stakeholders.
- Expert-level SQL proficiency, including building data models, writing clean code, and utilizing window functions.
- Experience across a modern analytics stack (e.g., Amplitude, Statsig, Snowflake, dbt, Hex, Omni).
- AI fluency with practical experience applying AI tools thoughtfully and critically in daily workflows.
