The Role

We are seeking an experienced engineering leader to manage two teams supporting our core Vehicle product: a Feature Delivery team and an Operational Excellence (OpEx) team. You will drive technical strategy, champion engineer growth, and help mature our production support and system reliability practices.

Position Duties

• Team Leadership: Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a high-performing, self-organizing, and collaborative environment.
• Operational Excellence: Mature the OpEx team by establishing structure, incident response protocols, and a culture of continuous reliability improvement.
• Technical Product Management: Act as a technical product manager for engineering-driven initiatives, defining roadmaps and prioritizing work based on business value.
• Delivery & Rigor: Drive planning and execution across teams, ensuring operational rigor in quality, documentation, and delivery.
• Metrics & Data: Use data to evaluate system and project health, surfacing issues early and driving informed decisions.
• Innovation: Encourage the use of AI tools and automation to improve development workflows.
• Collaboration: Communicate priorities and risks to stakeholders and participate in technical design and code reviews.
• Recruitment: Lead hiring, onboarding, and ongoing professional development for your team.

Desired Skills & Experience

• 5–9+ years of experience developing server-side applications (Java/Spring ecosystem preferred).
• 3+ years of experience in a management or technical leadership role.
• Strong foundation in OOP, design patterns, and domain-driven design.
• Experience with Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and JPA.
• Familiarity with modern web development (React, HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript).
• Experience leading geographically distributed or fully remote teams.
• Proven ability to work in a Scrum/Agile environment.
• Excellent English communication skills with high attention to detail.
