Role Overview

As the Senior Engineering Manager for OLO (Online Ordering), you'll lead a team of full-stack engineers building the guest web ordering experience—from menu, cart, and checkout to promotions, photos, and automated menu quality systems. You will take OLO upmarket to enterprise and multi-location brands while pushing guest conversion toward 10% through disciplined experimentation.

This role is equal parts product intuition and technical execution. You'll make hard prioritization calls, ship experiments that move revenue, and grow a team that embodies engineering excellence.

The Impact You'll Have

• Experimentation Engine: Build the experimentation engine that pushes guest conversion toward 10% across checkout, fulfillment, merchandising, and promotions.
• Enterprise Scale: Take OLO to enterprise and multi-location brands with the reliability and menu complexity they require.
• Menu Quality: Get >90% of menus (including POS-integrated ones) to our quality bar and build systems to keep live menus optimized.
• Visual Growth: Scale photo coverage using guest sourcing, auto-replating, licensed catalogs, and generated combo images tied to measured GPV lift.
• Promotions: Rebuild promotions from the ground up, including redemption UX, badges, auto-apply, and merchandising.
• Infrastructure: Cut fulfillment selection errors and finish the PostgreSQL migration.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of engineering management experience, leading teams of 6–10+ engineers on customer-facing products.
• Track record of running growth or conversion programs: metrics, A/B testing at scale, funnel analysis.
• Experience scaling a product for enterprise or multi-location customers.
• Strong prioritization skills: capability to take a roadmap bigger than your team and make hard, clear calls.
• Technical credibility in full-stack web development (React/TypeScript, Node.js) and data-heavy systems.
• Deep care for team health and experience leading people through heavy or repetitive workloads.
• Excellent cross-functional partnership skills with PM, design, and adjacent teams.
