
About the Role
Oyster is looking for a Director of FP&A and Analytics to lead our newly consolidated FP&A and Analytics team. This role is responsible for delivering the financial insight, planning, and analytical capabilities that enable better business decisions as Oyster enters its next phase of growth.
Partnering closely with business leaders and the VP of FP&A, you will lead planning and forecasting, business performance analysis, pricing strategy, and reporting while driving the evolution of our systems, automation, and AI-enabled ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Lead annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and performance management processes.
- Business Partnership: Partner with senior leaders to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and influence strategic decisions.
- Financial Modeling: Lead financial modeling and business case development for strategic initiatives and commercial opportunities.
- Reporting: Prepare financial reporting and performance insights for monthly business reviews, Board materials, and investor updates.
- Pricing & Commercial: Lead pricing analytics and commercial insights, governing decisions through the Deal Desk framework.
- Systems & Automation: Drive the adoption of AI, automation, and scalable workflows to improve forecasting and analytical capability.
- Team Leadership: Build, lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, fostering continuous improvement.
Core Requirements
- 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, Corporate Finance, or Strategic Finance.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams within a global, remote-first environment.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders through data-driven financial insight.
- Strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of SaaS business models, recurring revenue metrics, and unit economics.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, cash flow management, and accounting principles.
- Experience driving improvements in finance systems and business intelligence (Looker experience is a plus).
- Demonstrated experience applying AI and automation to improve finance processes.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
