We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer who is early in their automation career but has already demonstrated sound software testing fundamentals, is familiar with programming concepts, and has a desire to grow in test automation. You will work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment and pivot between manual and automated testing based on team priorities and business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Script Development: Learn, develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts under the guidance of more senior automation team members.
  • Test Execution: Participate in the creation and execution of test cases, test plans, and test scenarios based on business requirements.
  • Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility in shifting between manual validation and automation work depending on delivery timelines, feature complexity, and team needs.
  • Skill Building: Continuously build technical testing knowledge, including exposure to automation frameworks, scripting, CI/CD, and quality engineering best practices.
  • Collaboration: Communicate effectively in a remote environment, including maintaining an active on-camera presence during meetings when expected.

Qualifications

  • Some prior technical experience in software testing, automation, scripting, development, or a related technical area OR a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another programming/technology-related field.
  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and/or Agile delivery practices.
  • Familiarity with test automation concepts and an interest in building skills in automation tools and frameworks.
  • Exposure to one or more programming or scripting languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Health IT experience is a plus.
