Role Overview

The ideal candidate is early in their mobile development career with sound programming fundamentals and hands-on experience with React Native. In this role, you will work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, building and maintaining features across both iOS and Android from a shared codebase, pivoting between front-end, integration, and debugging work based on team priorities and business needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile applications using React Native for both iOS and Android under the guidance of senior mobile engineers.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, responsive code.
• Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and third-party SDKs.
• Debug and resolve bugs, performance issues, and platform-specific quirks between iOS and Android.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior engineers.
• Write and maintain basic unit and integration tests to help ensure application stability.
• Communicate effectively in a remote environment, including maintaining an active on-camera presence during meetings when expected.

Qualifications

• Some prior technical experience in mobile development, software development, or a related technical area OR a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or another programming/technology-related field.
• Working knowledge of React Native and JavaScript/TypeScript, including React fundamentals (components, state, props, and hooks).
• Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and/or Agile delivery practices.
• Familiarity with mobile UI/UX principles and an interest in building skills across both iOS and Android.
• Experience using Git for version control and consuming REST APIs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Health IT experience is a plus.

• Salary: $75,000 – $100,000 USD per year
