Responsibilities

As a Backend Software Engineer at Phantom, you’ll play a key role in building the systems that power our trading experiences. You’ll design and implement APIs, data pipelines, and services that bridge the gap between blockchain infrastructure and the seamless, intuitive experiences our users expect.

• Feature Development: Own features across our web platforms, including the Phantom Extension and website.
• New Initiatives and Products: Lead initiatives to add support for other blockchains to Phantom and launch complementary products and infrastructure.
• Protocol Integration: Focus on the implementation and aggregation of new trading protocols, aggregators, and trade types, while experimenting with new trading surfaces.
• User & Developer Interaction: Interface directly with end-users and developers building on Phantom to collect feedback and guide product direction.
• Team Building: Work closely with the team to foster an engineering culture that raises the bar with each new hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of full-time professional software engineering experience.
• Demonstrated interest in open and community-driven platforms.
• English language proficiency.
• Nice-to-Have: Prior experience building and scaling trading systems.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $200,000 - $250,000 USD (dependent on skillset, experience, and market location) plus equity.
