Sr Software Engineer (Financial Products) - RecargaPay

As a Senior Software Engineer at RecargaPay, you will play a critical role in the success of a fast-growing financial services company. Key Responsibilities

• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code following software engineering best practices.
• Contribute across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement by evaluating alternative technologies and presenting proposals for architectural review.
• Propose initial technical implementations supporting architectural changes to address scaling and performance challenges.
• Work with version control using GitHub, manage conflict resolution, and automate continuous integration workflows.
• Create and maintain clear software documentation.

Requirements

• Academic background in computer science, engineering, or related software development disciplines.
• Hands-on engineering experience handling medium-to-high complexity technical domains.
• Solid understanding of web application architecture, security, session management, and development standards.
• Strong proficiency with relational database systems and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Practical experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD); familiarity with Microservices Architecture is a plus.
• Proven ability to design complex distributed systems built for high performance, throughput, scalability, and reliability.
• Core technology experience using Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and AWS.
• Experience with asynchronous programming models.
• Demonstrated experience profiling and tuning Java applications, alongside production application monitoring tools.
• Practical experience applying AI frameworks in development projects.

• Understanding of fundamental workflows and business drivers across financial services and their impact on revenue, risk management, and customer satisfaction.
• Ideally, experience building solutions such as loan-origination engines with real-time decisioning, scalable payment platforms, open-finance APIs, automated fraud-detection pipelines, or financial reconciliation engines.
• Ability to translate complex compliance requirements (e.g., KYC/AML, PCI-DSS, LGPD/GDPR) into resilient, high-performance systems.
