As a member of our DevTools Squad, you will contribute to our SDKs, React Email, CLI, MCP, and various integrations, as well as the backend services that power them. Your work will empower developers to seamlessly integrate Resend into their existing workflows, effectively diagnose failures, and confidently rely on Resend as their applications scale.
This is a fully remote position, open to candidates based in Americas or European timezones. Some travel is expected for team offsites, conferences, meetups, and other collaborative events.

In this role, you will…
- Build and maintain developer tools that facilitate easy integration of Resend across diverse languages, frameworks, and environments.
- Build and operate services that support our developer tools and integrations.
- Collaborate with product squads to define clear API contracts and ensure consistent behavior across SDKs, CLI, MCP, and documentation.
- Develop the interfaces that developers and agents use to interact with Resend, including MCP, skills, and the CLI.
- Manage compatibility, testing, releases, and upgrades to ensure developers can depend on the software we ship.
- Create shared tooling that enables other squads to confidently deploy changes across our developer tools.
- Engage directly with developers through support channels, GitHub issues, and pull requests.

- Possess strong backend engineering experience, including building and maintaining APIs or services in production.
- Are experienced in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Understand concepts such as authentication, authorization, retries, idempotency, rate limits, and partial failures.
- Have built software that other developers rely on and understand the responsibility involved in its maintenance.
- Care deeply about interface design, clear error messages, comprehensive documentation, and backward compatibility.
- Consider agents as product users, recognizing their unique needs for discovery and security.
- Can approach an ambiguous problem, propose a focused solution, and see it through to release.
- Communicate clearly, welcome feedback, and take ownership while collaborating effectively with others.

- Have maintained an open-source project or worked closely with external contributors.
- Have built SDKs, command-line tools, MCP servers, or integrations between platforms.
- Have experience with React or frontend build tooling.
- Have built and operated systems with queues, monitoring, and error recovery.
- Have worked across multiple programming languages and understand how to make a library feel natural in each.
- Have experience with email development or a strong interest in learning the space.
