Marketing Manager - Defense & Intelligence (NORAM)

About Rocket.Chat

Rocket.Chat builds Secure CommsOSยฎ, one secure platform for messaging, voice, video, and AI, trusted by governments and by defense, intelligence, public sector, and critical infrastructure organizations worldwide. It connects natively with the systems allies and partners already use, and runs on-premises, in a secure cloud, or fully air-gapped, so every organization keeps complete control over its data.

Overview

You will report to our Head of Demand Generation and join the Marketing team. Rocket.Chat is looking for a hands-on, results-driven Marketing Manager to run marketing for the defense and intelligence sector in North America.

This is an individual contributor and full-stack marketing role with a strong focus on channel partner marketing. Most of our pipeline in this region is created with and through partners, so you will spend much of your time finding joint opportunities, running co-marketing programs, and helping partners sell Rocket.Chat. Alongside partner work, you will run paid digital (LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Reddit), social media, content, email and newsletters, and partner-led events, utilizing AI to execute efficiently.

Responsibilities

Partner and Channel Marketing

  • Own co-marketing with Rocket.Chat's key partners in NORAM, including system integrators, resellers, and technology alliances serving defense and intelligence.
  • Identify opportunities for joint activities (campaigns, webinars, events, content, offers) and turn them into pipeline.
  • Build close relationships with partner marketing and sales teams to identify pipeline opportunities.
  • Run a regular partner newsletter and keep partners updated on product news, campaigns, and enablement materials.
  • Create partner and customer-facing materials such as collateral and presentations aligned with Rocket.Chat's value proposition.
  • Manage Market Development Funds (MDF) by overseeing allocation and use in line with joint marketing objectives.

Sales Enablement and Alignment

  • Maintain close alignment with the sales team to understand targeted accounts, programs, and personas.
  • Adjust marketing strategy and campaigns based on field feedback from sales and partners.
  • Support sales in creating materials, RFI and RFP responses, proposals, and presentations.

Digital Marketing

  • Plan, run, and optimize paid campaigns on LinkedIn, Google, Bing, Reddit, and AI search targeting defense and intelligence audiences.
  • Manage Rocket.Chat's sector social media presence in the region, focusing on LinkedIn.
  • Run customer- and partner-facing newsletters.
  • Analyze campaign performance against KPIs such as pipeline, ROI, lead conversion, and engagement.

Content, Video & Field Marketing

  • Create content for defense and intelligence audiences: blog posts, case studies, solution briefs, one-pagers, and social content.
  • Assist in video creation, ranging from short social clips to product and partner videos.
  • Plan and execute partner-aligned events, including trade shows, conferences, webinars, and briefings.
  • Own the event lifecycle from pre-event promotion to post-event follow-up, optimizing for meetings booked and pipeline generated.

AI-Enabled Marketing & Collaboration

  • Integrate AI tools across marketing workflows for content/video creation, campaign setup, research, sales enablement, RFI responses, and reporting.
  • Collaborate across internal teams (sales, product, wider marketing) and manage external agencies/vendors as needed.
