Salesforce Architect - Rula

About Rula

At Rula, we believe that mental health is just as important as physical health. We recognize that mental health issues can be complex and multifaceted, and we are dedicated to treating the whole person, not just the symptoms.

We aim to create a world where mental health is no longer stigmatized or marginalized, but rather embraced as an integral part of overall well-being. By providing quality care that is both evidence-based and compassionate, we empower individuals to take charge of their mental health and achieve their full potential.

Rula is a remote-first company hiring across most U.S. states (currently excluding Hawaii).

About the Role

We are hiring a Salesforce Architect to support the team building the systems behind how Rula connects people to mental health care. You will design how information about patients, clinicians, and insurance moves between Salesforce and internal operations tools — working directly with system users and building complex components yourself.

Your decisions will have a direct impact on operational efficiency and care outcomes: helping patients match with therapists faster, enabling clinicians to get licensed and see patients sooner, and freeing care teams to focus on people rather than software.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years building on Salesforce, including at least 2 years as the lead accountable for design decisions on a large/complex implementation.
  • Hands-on ability to write, review, and debug Salesforce code and automation, judging when to use code vs. configuration vs. non-Salesforce solutions.
  • Experience designing data exchanges with external systems, ensuring connections are secure, monitored, and fault-tolerant.
  • Proven record designing resilient data models and establishing clear system-of-record ownership across integrated applications.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders and align teams with competing priorities.
  • Track record of establishing technical standards, code reviews, documentation, or mentorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in multi-instance Salesforce implementations, including Health Cloud, Data Cloud, or Data 360.
  • Experience in HIPAA-compliant or regulated healthcare environments with strict data security standards.
  • Experience with version-controlled, automated deployment tooling for Salesforce (CI/CD) and release process improvement.
  • Demonstrated decision-making experience in build vs. buy vs. configure evaluations.
  • Experience mentoring administrators, analysts, or developers to foster technical growth.
  • Relevant Salesforce Architecture or Developer certifications.

Benefits & Perks

  • 100% Remote Work: Flexible environment supporting work-life balance (US-based, excluding Hawaii).
  • Transparent Pay & Comprehensive Healthcare: Medical, dental, vision, life, disability, FSA/HSA.
  • 401(k) Plan: Retirement savings access.
  • Generous PTO: Includes 2 company-wide shutdown weeks each year.
