Senior Staff Software Engineer - Rula

About the Role

The Provider group is embarking on a critical phase of growth and technical modernization. We are hiring a Sr. Staff Software Engineer to serve as the overarching Technical Individual Contributor Leader for the entire Provider organization. Operating as a strategic partner to the Senior Director, you will be responsible for setting the technical roadmap, establishing engineering standards, and driving high-impact initiatives across all teams within the Provider domain.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of related professional experience, specifically full-stack experience building modern database-backed (SQL/NoSQL) web applications and microservice development.
• Proven Technical Leadership: Extensive experience operating as a principal or lead architect for a major product domain or engineering group, driving all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Distributed Systems Expertise: Deep knowledge of building high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud infrastructure.
• Influence Without Authority: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence engineering direction and product strategy across multiple stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring others, reviewing architectures, and establishing design patterns.

Preferred Qualifications

• Domain knowledge in provider ecosystems, healthcare data standards (e.g., FHIR, HL7), or complex B2B integration networks.
• Start-up experience.
• Experience developing SaaS applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Previous experience in products with high reliability/accuracy requirements.
• Experience with on-call support, deep diving complex issues, and driving them to resolution independently.
• Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and Kafka.
