Job Summary
Storyblok is hiring a Marketing Automation Manager to own the top of funnel systems and the campaigns that run through them: Pardot, the forms on the Storyblok website, list uploads, Clay, and the nurture programs, sequences, and webinar flows built in Pardot.
The role sends the campaigns, loads the lists, and builds the forms day to day, and turns that repeat work into templates and automations so more of the week goes to lead scoring, routing, data quality, and reporting. Sitting within Revenue Operations, this role works across Demand Generation, Events, Content, Partner Marketing, Sales Development, Sales Operations, and Analytics, in a lean data team where the person pulls their own numbers and builds their own reports.
Essential Job Functions
1. Campaign Operations
- Build and send list emails and sequences in Pardot and Knak: webinar invites and follow-ups, quarterly enterprise and marketer sequences, review asks, partner and event emails.
- Build and run the nurture programs in Engagement Studio (welcome, post-webinar, gated content, re-engagement), each by segment and lifecycle stage, and rebuild them as results come in.
- Set up webinars end-to-end: registration form, Zuddl to Pardot sync, campaign IDs, reminders, and follow-up. Build form handlers, autoresponders, and landing page forms on the Storyblok website.
- Load lead lists from events, content syndication, and paid social with the right campaign, source, and consent, and run the request board: intake, SLA, QA before launch.
- Run optimization: Test subject lines, send times, and content on every sequence, and personalize by segment, industry, and stage.
2. Marketing Systems and Integrations
- Administer Pardot and its Salesforce sync: users, connectors, field mapping, campaign member status.
- Own the links between Pardot, Salesforce, the website, Zuddl, Knak, Meta, and Google Ads, and keep them documented.
- Run Clay: enrichment waterfalls, list building, and the signal tables that feed BDR routing.
- Evaluate, buy, and renew marketing tools.
3. Lead Flow, Scoring, and Routing Operations
- Own lead scoring and grading, reviewed each quarter against what converts.
- Own lifecycle stages (MQL, SAL, SQL) and the handoff rules to BDRs and AEs.
- Bring self-serve signups and product usage into scoring and lifecycle, so PLG and enterprise leads run through a single flow.
4. Data Quality and Reporting
- Own the sync between the warehouse, Pardot, and Salesforce in both directions: enrichment and usage in, campaign results out.
- Keep the database clean: deduplicate, normalize country, industry, and title, manage suppression lists, and handle GDPR consent by region.
- Own the campaign taxonomy and UTM standard across the team and agencies.
- Write your own SQL and Salesforce reports; build the funnel and pipeline by source reports in the BI tool. Monitor deliverability: domain health, bounce, and spam rates.
5. Automation, Process, and Cadence
- Template repeat request types (list uploads, list emails, form handlers, webinar setups), then automate them with Clay, LLM tools (Claude), and a workflow builder such as n8n or Zapier, each with QA and a fallback.
- Write playbooks and train marketers to self-serve where it is safe.
- Own and report monthly on speed to lead, MQL to SQL, form-to-meeting rates, request turnaround, share of automated tasks, database coverage/accuracy, and email deliverability/engagement.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years in marketing operations or marketing automation, ideally in B2B SaaS.
- Pardot Administration: Salesforce connector, Engagement Studio, form handlers, campaign sync.
- Salesforce Fluency: Campaigns, lead and contact fields, reports, and dashboards.
- Proven experience building nurture programs with demonstrable conversion results.
- Experience running a high-volume request queue and reducing turnaround time with templates and automation; experience shipping automations with workflow builders and LLM tools.
- Proven experience with lead scoring, lifecycle, and routing.
- Working knowledge of SQL, and hands-on experience with enrichment tools such as Clay, ZoomInfo, or Apollo.
- Knowledge of GDPR and consent management across regions.
- Demonstrated AI literacy, with the ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, decision-making, and quality of work while applying sound judgment and critical thinking.
Professional Competencies
- Operating Discipline: Runs a high-volume request queue on an SLA with QA before every launch.
- Systems Thinking: Sees how Pardot, Salesforce, the website, Clay, and the warehouse connect, keeping data flowing cleanly between them.
- Data Fluency: Pulls own numbers, defines fields, and builds reports without needing an analyst intermediary.
- Automation Mindset: Templates repeat work, then builds the automation to remove it.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy, understanding that a wrong list or broken form can reach thousands of people.
- Testing Habit: Runs tests on every sequence and adapts programs based on results.
- Cross-functional Coordination: Aligns Demand Gen, Events, Content, Partner Marketing, Sales Development, and Sales Ops around a single lead flow.
- Communication: Writes clear playbooks and guidance that marketers can follow independently.
