About the Role

A Professional Services Software Developer is a client-facing technical expert who designs, develops, and delivers custom solutions that extend and enhance our clients’ use of Swoogo. This includes highly branded event websites, third-party integrations, data transformation, and custom functionality.

You’ll work directly with clients and internal teams to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions. You’ll be expected to advise on feasibility and approach, estimate development effort, identify technical risks and dependencies, and own solutions through development, testing, deployment, and handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement responsive, accessible front-end solutions using HTML, CSS/SCSS, and JavaScript.
• Build and customize branded client websites on the Swoogo platform with high attention to detail.
• Optimize websites, integrations, and custom solutions for performance, reliability, and cross-device compatibility.
• Design, build, and maintain software integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and middleware.
• Read and work directly from API documentation to scope, architect, and troubleshoot integrations (OAuth, API keys, tokens).
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to customize software functionality and map data models.
• Write clean, maintainable code and create clear technical documentation.
• Use Git and version control best practices.
• Test and debug solutions, including front-end builds and API calls.
• Serve as a technical advisor during client calls, ensuring clear communication of complex concepts.
• Manage multiple client projects simultaneously, ensuring deliverables are on time and meet quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for improving workflows through automation and AI tools.

What You’ve Done Before

• 5+ years of experience in web development with strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SCSS.
• Proven track record of owning development and delivery for branded websites and integration projects.
• Proficiency with at least one modern JavaScript framework (Vue.js, React, or TypeScript).
• Experience building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Expert understanding of core web development principles, including responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and performance.
• Experience creating scalable integrations using APIs and webhooks.
• Demonstrated ability to balance technical execution with a strong design/UX sensibility.
• Comfort using AI tools to speed up development, documentation, or QA work.
• Experience in leading complex projects.
