AI Proficiency Framework

AI fluency is a core expectation at Sword. Every candidate is assessed against our three-level framework:

• Explorer (Level 1): Uses AI daily to boost personal productivity
• Builder (Level 2): Creates workflows and tools that elevate the whole team
• Integrator (Level 3): Embeds AI into products and processes at scale

Every hire must demonstrate at least Level 1. The expected level will vary depending on the seniority of the role.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own the design, delivery, and improvement of our AI agents and other LLM-powered products.
• Integrate new models into the platform and build the benchmarks to evaluate them.
• Own agent real-time observability.
• Ship the production backend behind the agents as well as the supporting platform.
• Bring your intuition about LLM architecture and how it shapes agent architecture.
• Grow the AI function by defining practices, raising the bar in code reviews, and mentoring team members.

What You Need to Have

• 4+ years of experience building and running production software.
• Working understanding of how LLMs are architected and behave.
• Solid experience in SQL, Python, and event-driven design.
• Experience shipping LLM-powered features and their observability.
• Experience designing evaluations (evals).
• Experience with Cloud platforms (ideally GCP).
• Experience leading and owning complex and ambiguous projects from ideation to completion/maintenance.
• Experience providing technical oversight and mentoring colleagues.
• Ability to communicate fluently and confidently in Greek and English at a proficient level.

What We Would Love to See

• Experience with voice agents, telephony, STTs, TTSs, and latency budgets.
• Experience in healthcare or another regulated domain.
• Experience designing experiments and reading their results correctly.
• Experience serving several clients from one codebase.
