Tremendous is the global platform built for businesses to send thousands of payouts to anyone, anywhere, for free. We're trusted by 20,000 organizations like Atlassian, MIT, and United Way to deliver gift cards and money to millions of recipients worldwide.
We’re a fully remote, high-documentation, low-meeting culture, which means more time for what matters in both your professional and personal life.
Design at Tremendous
We design experiences that make complex systems feel straightforward and intuitive by taking our time to get things right. We favor depth and scale over speed, while raising the bar for quality so our product stays ahead of the competition. We’re a place for designers who care about doing things well.
About the role
We're hiring a Senior Product Designer to own design for one of our product areas. You'll join a small team of product designers led by our Director of Product Design, and you'll be embedded in a squad with a product manager and several engineers.
What you'll do
- Craft rational, elegant, and intuitive interfaces. We care about implementation ease as much as we care about pixel-perfection.
- Own the content. Designers at Tremendous own the product copy in their designs.
- Strategic influence. Contribute to the team’s vision, planning, and roadmap.
- Contribute to our design system. Consistency is a big part of usability, especially for a financial platform.
- Document heavily. We're an async, international team. Your Notion docs and Figma files should give anyone clear context, constraints, and options without a meeting.
- Use AI throughout your workflow. Research, prototyping, and iteration using tools like v0, Claude, or Cursor.
- Help raise the bar. Push forward and maintain a high design bar and level of execution.
- Design for a diverse set of recipients, with accessibility and internationalization in mind.
- Collaborative design. Work closely with PMs, Engineers, and others.
What you'll bring
- 8+ years of product design experience.
- Experience at a startup or fast-moving product company.
- A portfolio demonstrating functional, simple, and delightful user interfaces.
- Proven experience building and improving design systems.
- Excellent written communication and copywriting skills.
- Experience using AI tools in your design workflow, including prototyping.
- The ability to handle ambiguity and make informed decisions on your own.
What's cool about the role
- Own design for a product area, end-to-end. Help scope, drive, and measure your work.
- Become the champion for your users. Conduct research and usability tests.
- Competitive pay and equity. Base salary for this role: $200,000 - $265,000.
- Real benefits. 100% covered health (US), unlimited PTO, 12-16 weeks paid parental leave.
- Fully remote. Work from anywhere in the Americas.
