Senior Mobile Engineer (KMP) - YAZIO

At YAZIO, our product squads are the engines that drive our mission: helping people lead healthier lives. We're looking for a product-minded Senior Mobile Engineer to join one of our core squads and build the features that empower millions of users on their wellness journey.

As a key member of a cross-functional team, you'll partner closely with your Product Manager, Engineering Manager, and Designer. You will be a vital voice in shaping our product, leveraging our Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) stack to deliver elegant, high-impact solutions for both iOS and Android users.

This role is 100% remote and open to candidates based in Germany, Spain, Portugal, or the U.K.

Your Mission

Your mission is to translate user needs and product vision into robust, high-quality code that powers a world-class user experience. You will own the technical execution within the squad, living best practices and helping the entire team.

• Own Features End-to-End: Take ideas from technical design to a polished, deployed feature. Write clean, maintainable code, ensure high test coverage, and monitor production impact.
• Partner with Product and Design: Contribute to the "why," provide technical insights, weigh trade-offs, and help shape an ambitious yet achievable roadmap.
• Champion Technical Excellence: Act as a steward of our codebase, manage technical debt, improve performance, and drive the adoption of modern practices within our Kotlin Multiplatform architecture.
• Elevate the Team: Mentor other engineers, lead by example with thoughtful code reviews, improve team processes, and share knowledge.

Your Profile

We're looking for a seasoned engineer who is passionate about the craft and the impact their code has on users.

• Deep Expertise in Modern Mobile Development: Significant experience building native mobile apps on Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose). Experience with iOS development (Swift, SwiftUI) is a plus, along with a willingness to expand ownership across both ecosystems.
• Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP): Experience with KMP is a massive plus, but a strong foundation in native development and a passion for learning are most important.
• A True Product Engineer: Obsessed with the user experience and the "why" behind what you're building. Comfortable with product metrics and driven by measurable impact.
• Pragmatic and Results-Oriented: High standards for code quality combined with the pragmatism to ship value to users.
• Collaborative Force Multiplier: Thrive in a team environment, give and receive feedback graciously, and value mentoring and improving shared tools.
• Excellent Communicator: Ability to clearly articulate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical partners.

We believe in Kotlin Multiplatform and use it heavily in our modularized monorepo. We share as much code as possible outside of the UI layer, while building the fully native UI using Compose on Android and SwiftUI on iOS.
