Reporting to the VP, Manufacturing, this role will oversee production execution across these formats, partner with manufacturers to strengthen quality, capacity, and cost performance, and work closely with Product Development, Quality, and Supply Chain to bring new and improved products to market.

The ideal candidate has experience working with manufacturers of ingestible products across a range of formats (e.g., beverages, gummies, powders), understands format-specific production requirements, and possesses a track record of maintaining quality and consistency at scale. Experience in the dietary supplement, wellness, food, or beverage industry is preferred.

What You'll Do

  • Manage day-to-day performance of contract manufacturers across varying form factors and products, ensuring production meets quality, service, cost, and timeline expectations.
  • Monitor production plans, capacity, and shipment readiness, proactively addressing supply risks during periods of heightened demand.
  • Partner with Quality to uphold product specifications, manufacturing standards, and compliance requirements; support inspections and timely issue resolution.
  • Investigate production or product variation, identify root causes alongside manufacturing partners, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support product development, enhancements, and commercialization by translating product requirements into repeatable manufacturing processes.
  • Transfer and scale manufacturing processes across partners and facilities while maintaining consistency in product quality and execution.
  • Identify and implement improvements to yield, efficiency, cost, and manufacturing reliability, balancing savings with product quality standards.
  • Support supplier contract negotiations and manage partner relationships, including business reviews and operational commitments.
  • Track and report key manufacturing metrics through daily, weekly, and monthly operating reviews to address gaps and drive performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Product Development, Quality, Finance, Marketing, Customer Experience) to align priorities and launch readiness.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations, industry practices, and manufacturing capabilities across all assigned product formats.
  • Promote clear communication, accountability, and a culture where compliance and quality concerns are raised promptly.

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience working with third-party contract manufacturers, including leadership experience in a manufacturing facility or comparable production environment.
  • Experience in consumer goods manufacturing with strong knowledge of production processes, systems, and vendor relationship management.
  • Hands-on experience with ready-to-drink (RTD) manufacturing and gummy or softgel manufacturing; familiarity with all three formats is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose production issues, manage multiple work streams, and drive improvements through external partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Base salary range: $138,000 - $150,000 USD (plus performance bonus and stock option allocation).
  • 100% remote working environment from day one.
  • Unlimited PTO, paid holidays, and company-wide reset and reflect days.
  • In-person team meetups for collaboration and team building.
  • Monthly telecom stipend for home internet/Wi-Fi.
  • Access to AG1 products and branded gear.
