Manager, Technical Services
Ashby is hiring our first Manager of Technical Services as a strategic anchor for our expanding technical integration services. In this role within our Customer Success organization, you will bridge two distinct technical engines: overseeing specialized integration consultants dedicated to deep Workday integrations, as well as a team of technical solution consultants who build bespoke API solutions, craft custom recommendations, and deliver hands-on technical builds for our customers.
The Role
Six months in, success looks like having a highly efficient, scaled team that seamlessly handles multiple concurrent complex integrations, successfully troubleshoots mid-flight technical challenges, and consistently delivers high-value technical consulting. You will help shape our technical services strategy and ensure all customers can cohesively integrate Ashby into their complex HR tech stacks.
Key Responsibilities
- Build & Scale: Lead and support specialized Integration Consultants and Technical Solution Consultants, empowering them to comfortably manage high-volume portfolios while maintaining Ashby's high quality standards.
- Operational Infrastructure: Develop capacity planning, project prioritization, quality standards, and repeatable delivery processes to scale technical services effectively.
- Senior Escalation Point: Leverage foundational knowledge of Workday architecture and complex API capabilities to dive into active integrations, troubleshoot roadblocks, and guide consultants through complex technical paths.
- Offerings Evolution: Identify recurring customer needs, evaluate opportunities to standardize solutions, and determine where new technical capabilities deliver the greatest impact.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Implementation to distinguish product gaps from services opportunities and ensure technical commitments are feasible and sound.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in technical consulting, integration services, or technical implementations.
- 3+ years directly managing and scaling a team of technical resources.
- Integration Expertise: Strong working knowledge of enterprise integrations, including Workday architecture, APIs, authentication, data mapping, and integration design.
- Portfolio Management: Demonstrated success guiding a team through a high-volume portfolio of mid-to-large tier enterprise organizations.
- Proactive Team Building: Experience anticipating future technical capability gaps and scaling team capacity ahead of demand.
- Hands-On Leadership: Ability to dive into technical details, troubleshoot complex integration hurdles alongside your team, and scope mid-flight solution pivots.
