The Role
We're looking for an experienced, highly organized Event and Marketing Manager to own Bankjoy's event program and help keep a busy marketing calendar running smoothly. You'll lead the strategy, planning, and execution of our annual client conference, Elevate, along with regional networking events, trade shows, industry conferences, league events, and executive dinners. You'll also be a hands-on partner across webinars, social media, and content.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in corporate event planning, vendor management, budgeting, and stakeholder collaboration, who thrives on details, takes ownership from start to finish, and knows how to tie every event back to business results. If you know the credit union or fintech world, even better.
What You'll Do
Event Strategy & Execution
- Develop event strategies aligned with business goals to maximize brand impact, client engagement, and pipeline.
- Lead the planning and execution of Elevate, our annual client conference, alongside the Head of Marketing and our event consultant: venue and hotel contracts, vendors, AV, agenda logistics, attendee communications, sponsors, and on-site management.
- Plan, organize, and execute regional networking events, trade shows, and our calendar of 15 to 20 industry events a year, including core user conferences, state credit union league conventions, and national industry shows.
- Plan small executive dinners and client gatherings in priority markets.
- Manage event timelines across multiple events at once.
- Work with sales to set meeting goals, book meetings, and follow up with leads after every event.
Logistics & Vendor Management
- Secure venues, catering, audiovisual, and other event-related services.
- Negotiate and manage vendor contracts, and oversee vendor performance to ensure high-quality execution.
- Coordinate booths, sponsorships, shipping, swag, travel, and staffing for each event.
Budget & ROI Tracking
- Develop and manage event budgets, track expenditures, and optimize cost efficiency.
- Measure results for every event, including leads, meetings, pipeline created, and attendee satisfaction.
- Analyze post-event feedback and ROI metrics, and recommend improvements for future events.
On-site Event Management
- Ensure smooth event execution, including logistics, troubleshooting, and coordinating on-site staff.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal teams, vendors, and attendees.
Marketing & Attendee Engagement
- Work closely with the marketing team to promote events through email, social media, and other channels.
- Develop creative strategies to increase attendee engagement and event participation.
- Coordinate prospect and client webinars, including those co-hosted with core and league partners, and manage speakers, run-of-show, registration pages, promotion, and follow-up sequences.
Social Media & Content
- Create and schedule posts for Bankjoy's LinkedIn and other channels, especially around events.
- Help executives and staff share event and thought leadership content from their personal accounts.
- Support blog posts, event recaps, case studies, and email campaigns.
- Track and report on social engagement and event results.
Marketing Operations
- Keep the marketing calendar, project timelines, and budgets organized and up to date.
- Manage event and campaign lists, and invitations in HubSpot.
- Coordinate with designers, agencies, and vendors to keep projects on schedule.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in corporate event planning, conference management, or event marketing, ideally in B2B.
- A proven track record of leading events from strategy through execution, including large multi-day conferences.
- Strong vendor negotiation and contract management skills.
- Experience developing and managing event budgets and reporting on ROI.

- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- A positive, roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to travel and manage evening and weekend events as needed.
