
About the Role
Canonical is hiring Travel Operations Specialists to join our Business Services team. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth travel experiences for colleagues and guests attending company meetings and industry events worldwide. This is a unique opportunity to manage travel policy, support decision-making, handle travel emergencies, and oversee supplier relationships in a global, distributed environment.
Responsibilities
- Engage with colleagues to address travel queries and resolve issues.
- Collaborate with the wider business services team on company and industry event planning.
- Hold travel vendors accountable for service quality.
- Manage financial processes, including invoice verification, payments, credits, and refunds.
- Monitor travel trends, spend, carbon emissions, and policy compliance.
- Track unused tickets, credits, and airline points usage.
What We Are Looking For
- Excellent academic results at school and university level.
- A degree in a business or technical subject.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, organized approach.
- High level of responsibility, accountability, and self-awareness.
- Ability to travel up to four times a year for company events (up to two weeks duration).
- Aptitude for learning new technology and software quickly.
