Senior Design Engineer - Cloudflare

About the Role

The Emerging Technologies & Incubation (ETI) team builds and releases new, bold products. We leverage Cloudflare’s massive scale and network to deliver tools that would be impossible for other organizations to create.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of Design Engineers and Systems Engineers.
• Design and develop frontend experiences to improve developer experience within our dashboard.
• Own code from inception to release, maintaining high standards for coding patterns and visual aesthetics.
• Work in Figma, develop new components, and polish user interactions.
• Utilize a variety of technologies, primarily TypeScript and React.

Desirable Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

• 5+ years of experience working with distributed systems.
• Experience designing and building frontend applications.
• Solid understanding of cloud primitives and distributed systems architecture.
• Proficiency in at least one modern strongly-typed programming language (primarily TypeScript).
• Experience debugging, optimizing, and identifying failure modes in large-scale frontend applications.
