The Data Intelligence & Analytics team at Cloudflare builds a centralized cloud data lake and analytics platform. We empower internal business partners and product teams with actionable insights, providing a 360-degree view of our business through self-service data applications.

About the Role

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our Bangalore team to scale our development efforts on Platform Tooling initiatives. You will build data application tools and frameworks that empower internal teams and work closely with Data Engineers to maintain and enhance data pipelines written in Go. You will interact with a modern tech stack including Go, React, and Clickhouse.

• Design and implement key features for internal applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions for critical business problems.
• Improve platform architecture for scalability, observability, and reliability.
• Participate in active knowledge sharing and mentorship.

Desirable Skills & Experience

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or equivalent programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and relational database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
• Experience with CI/CD and GitLab CI.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively through ambiguous business requirements.

Bonus Points

• Familiarity with container-based deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud providers.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
