About Constructor
Constructor is a next-generation platform for search and discovery in ecommerce, explicitly optimizing for metrics like revenue, conversion rate, and profit. Our search engine, entirely invented in-house, utilizes transformers and generative LLMs. We leverage its core and personalization capabilities to power everything from search to recommendations and shopping agents.
Engineering is our largest department, and we've built our proprietary engine to be the best on the market, consistently outperforming competitive technologies in A/B tests. We are passionate about maintaining this edge and work on the bleeding edge of AI to do so.
Built for extreme scale, our engine powers over 1 billion queries daily across 150 languages, serving customers in many countries. It is trusted by some of the biggest ecommerce companies globally, including Sephora, Under Armour, and Petco.
We are a passionate team dedicated to solving problems and improving the lives of our customers and coworkers. We value empathy, openness, curiosity, continuous improvement, and are excited by metrics that matter. We believe in empowering everyone in the company to do what they do best.
Constructor is a U.S.-based company founded in 2019 by Eli Finkelshteyn and Dan McCormick, who continue to lead the company today.
