The Role: Data Analyst, Offsite Search Optimisation

Join our Offsite Search Optimization team to enhance the e-commerce experience for millions of users globally by improving speed and personalization. Your mission will be to bridge the gap between onsite product discovery and external discovery platforms, ensuring Constructor-powered websites are discoverable and accurately represented by search engines like Google and generative AI.

Team Goals:

  • Build foundational metrics to track visibility, traffic sources, and performance across SEO and GEO.
  • Develop architecture for technical checkups on customer websites, assessing optimization levels and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Product teams to adapt enriched content for SEO/GEO and package it for external discoverability.
  • Define an SEO/GEO enablement layer with tools, playbooks, and frameworks to scale best practices.

Challenges You Will Tackle:

  • Achieve complete visibility of product discovery from external sources.
  • Accurately measure organic, branded, and AI-driven traffic.
  • Create a unified model for landing pages.
  • Develop a framework for future SEO experiments (canonical tests, template variations, structured data tests).
  • Build internal tools for other teams to integrate with.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices across teams.

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (including libraries like requests, pandas, numpy).
  • Experience building data integrations between products.
  • Experience with APIs and authentication (OAuth2, GA4, Google Search Analytics API).
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT workflows on PySpark.
  • Ability to build logic for data extraction from non-structured data (referrers, canonical URLs, page types).

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with BigQuery or similar data warehouses.
  • Basic understanding of JavaScript execution and its impact on crawlers (SSR/CSR).
  • Knowledge of SEO fundamentals.
  • Experience with BI systems (Looker, Metabase, Superset).
  • Experience with logs or event handling systems.
