The Opportunity
We’re hiring a Tax Partnerships Lead to accelerate our channel program and strategic partnerships with accounting and tax advisory firms. Partnerships are one of Crux’s most important growth engines, particularly for the capital side of our business.
You will own these partner relationships end-to-end — refining enablement strategies, cultivating champions inside partner firms, tightening qualification, and working hand-in-hand with our commercial and marketing teams to drive conversion. This is a high-autonomy individual contributor role reporting to the Partnerships Principal.
What You’ll Do
- Scale existing enterprise partners: Deepen connectivity with major US accounting firms, leading partner meetings, navigating BD teams and independence constraints, and building champions across business units.
- Drive commercial conversion: Optimize playbooks alongside commercial leads to systematize referral lifecycles with conversion and revenue delivery as core metrics.
- Expand mid-market presence: Scale operations with mid-market and regional accounting firms, shaping new referral and co-sell structures.
- Prioritize capital channels: Direct focus toward relationships, business units, and referral types that bring tax credit buyers and tax equity investors onto the platform.
- Strengthen operations & playbooks: Maintain sharp partner records and attribution metrics with RevOps, track pipeline health, and integrate AI tools into daily operations.
- Cross-functional alignment: Collaborate with Market Intelligence and Marketing to enhance mutual value through intelligence briefings, tailored reports, and events.
- Market engagement: Participate in partner briefings, industry conferences, and roadshows (~25% travel).
What You Bring
- Tax Fluency: Ability to engage credibly with Big 4 tax partners or in-house tax executives, with practical knowledge of how tax considerations shape deal structures.
- Professional Services Acumen: Understanding of how accounting firms function internally, including BD structures, independence constraints, and partner referral motivators.
- Proven Partnership Record: Track record of building high-impact relationships with enterprise-level accounting or advisory partners.
- Commercial Accountability: Demonstrated history of delivering tangible revenue, pipeline, or conversion outcomes through strategic partnerships.
- Builder’s Mindset: Approximately 6–8 years of professional experience with a track record of owning major workstreams independently. Comfort with early-stage playbooks and leveraging AI productivity tools.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong interpersonal tact to represent partner needs internally and foster cross-team trust.
