The Opportunity
Our Account Manager will be an integral part of our North America team. This role is based remotely in Canada, preferably in the eastern part of Canada.
The role of DoiT’s Account Management team is to nurture relationships with existing customers, identify valuable ways to engage further with customers, provide a trusted point of contact for the cloud vendor teams regarding accounts’ growth opportunities, and to retain 100% of DoiT’s existing customers.
Responsibilities
- Customer Relationship Management: Develop a deep understanding of our business, our cloud management platform, support, and services, and how they help our clients and their needs.
- Account Ownership: Maintain knowledge, context, and ownership of the customers you are responsible for and own communication with the respective vendor teams to show value and potential opportunities for revenue growth.
- Escalation Management: Manage customer-related support escalations to resolution, ensuring customer satisfaction is of the highest level.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate and close long-term commitments with key stakeholders, balancing the requirements of the customer, the vendor, and the company's interests.
- Growth Identification: Identify new workload opportunities within the customer's cloud environment and SaaS solutions.
- Cadence & Reviews: Establish a regular cadence with your complete portfolio of customers, balancing the requirements of large strategic customers and fast-growing emerging clients. Deliver regular quarterly reviews tracking active project timelines, projected spending, and feedback.
- Feedback Loop: Help aggregate customer feedback to ensure our products and solutions closely align with customer needs, and provide this feedback to engineering teams to help prioritize deliverables.
- Cost Optimization: Identify cost optimization opportunities within the customer's cloud environment.
- Vendor Collaboration: Work with Cloud Vendor Sales Representatives on mutual customers.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in an Account Management, Customer Success, or Customer Engineering role.
- 3+ years of experience at a technology company.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technical skills that enable you to engage productively with technical teams, and the ability to build influential relationships.
- Great operational, administration, and analytical skills, with the ability to "zoom" in and out from the big picture to the details.
- A desire to grow within the organization and continuously broaden your skill sets.
- A great sense of humor and enjoyment of having fun at work.
Bonus Points
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or other major public clouds.
- Experience in the FinOps Ecosystem.
- Cloud Certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner or Google Cloud Digital Leader certifications).
