We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to help scale our platform. You have experience with AWS infrastructure, are fully bought into IaC (Infrastructure as Code), use AI coding tools daily, and bring a product mindset to collaborating with application developers, Quality Engineers, and Security & Compliance teams.
What You Will Do
- Be an active member of the DevOps team, treating the rest of Engineering as your internal customers.
- Collaborate with teammates to continuously improve team workflows and platform automation.
- Design and implement DevOps solutions using a modern toolset.
- Use metrics and data to drive communication, platform decisions, and architecture strategy.
- Maintain platform stability and help inform application architecture decisions in that context.
- Actively partner with AppEng to support production incidents and participate in our on-call rotation.
- Deliver platform changes iteratively with zero downtime.
- Work with the Principal DevOps Engineer, VP of Compliance, and Chief Architect to define and adopt security best practices.
What You Need to Have
- 4–6 years of total experience in an engineering role, with at least 2 years specifically in a DevOps Engineer role.
- Expertise in designing, creating, and managing AWS infrastructure.
- Expertise in IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, etc.) to manage cloud infrastructure.
- Experience using AI coding tools to improve ops automation without compromising security or reliability.
- Experience with Linux, shell scripting, and a general-purpose scripting language.
- Experience with modern DevOps tools like Docker, GitHub, and CircleCI/RWX.
- Clear understanding of how DevOps design influences, enables, and constrains application architecture and the SDLC.
- Experience with observability tools (logging, metrics, tracing), troubleshooting, monitoring, and alerting.
- Solid understanding of security-first design and security principles.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States and located in the US by start date (excluding MT, HI, AK, and DC).
