Consulting Architect - Security (Canberra)

About the Role

Elastic is looking for a delivery-focused Consulting Architect to provide visionary leadership in orchestrating and implementing Elastic solutions. You will work closely with Services, Engineering, and Sales teams to drive customer business value and solve complex technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and Design

• Analyze customer business pain points and technical requirements.
• Design Elastic solution architectures integrated with enterprise technologies.
• Create customer roadmaps and articulate complex solutions to stakeholders, including C-suite.

Implement and Deliver

• Lead technology workshops, whiteboarding, and hands-on mentoring.
• Deploy and integrate Elastic products, including data onboarding, configuration, and visualization.
• Optimize data modeling, query performance, and cluster scaling.
• Solve challenging platform, configuration, and cyber security problems.

Grow and Expand

• Manage capacity planning for mission-critical environments.
• Perform technical audits, upgrades, and platform migrations.
• Guide customers through their cyber security maturity journey.

Influence and Collaborate

• Partner with Engineering and Product teams to identify feature enhancements and defects.
• Support Sales in scoping opportunities and assessing technical risks.
• Mentor fellow consultants and maintain high standards of delivery.

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a Consulting Architect or senior IT functional lead.
• Proven history of delivering professional services engagements.
• Strong customer advocacy and communication skills.
• Experience deploying Elastic Security or similar tools (Splunk, Arcsight, IBM QRadar).
• Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework and enterprise defense.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and infrastructure automation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Javascript, Go, etc.).
• Ability to travel as required and comfort working in a distributed team.
