
About the Role
Elastic is looking for a Principal Product Manager to lead the vision, strategy, and execution for the Elastic Agent Builder. As organizations transition to autonomous, agentic workflows, the Agent Builder acts as the critical context layer for faster, more accurate, and cost-effective AI agents. You will define how enterprises build, manage, and scale context for AI agents while working at the cutting edge of the AI ecosystem.
What You Will Be Doing
- Strategy & Roadmap: Build, socialize, and align a roadmap for core context engineering capabilities built on Elastic-powered retrieval and relevance.
- Customer Engagement: Work directly with enterprise customers, sales teams, and solution architects to define requirements and priorities.
- Market Analysis: Deeply analyze the AI Agent market, major players, and trends to inform product strategy.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with data science and engineering to build strategies for benchmarking and evaluating agent capabilities.
- User Experience: Work with design to build intuitive experiences for refining agent context.
- Evangelism: Act as a product expert, creating content like blog posts and open-source projects to drive adoption.
- Ecosystem Partnerships: Collaborate with hyperscalers (Google, Amazon, Microsoft) and the developer community.
What You Bring
- Experience: 10+ years in product management or solution delivery for technical, cloud infrastructure, or platform products.
- AI/ML Fluency: Deep technical understanding of LLMs, RAG architectures, vector databases, and context engineering.
- Bias to Action: Ability to move fast, learn from experiments, and utilize AI tools to accelerate decision-making.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead across a matrixed organization and align stakeholders in a remote-first environment.
- Communication: Excellent ability to distill complex engineering details into compelling narratives for technical and executive audiences.
- Customer Obsession: A passion for developer-focused products and solving real-world customer problems.
