Principal Product Manager (Strategic Account Interactions) - Security Solutions

About the Role

Elastic is seeking a Principal Product Manager to serve as the primary product voice for our most strategic enterprise security customers. In this high-impact role, you will bridge the gap between complex customer needs and our product roadmap, ensuring that enhancement requests are prioritized, tracked, and translated into meaningful product direction.

What You Will Be Doing

• Pipeline Management: Own the enhancement request pipeline across multiple strategic accounts, building structured systems to track and prioritize requirements.
• Product Strategy: Translate customer pain points into coherent product features, identifying patterns that benefit the wider market.
• Executive Engagement: Serve as the primary product voice for C-suite and VP-level stakeholders, delivering roadmap updates and managing expectations.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Partner with Engineering, Sales, and Customer Success to drive deal cycles, RFP responses, and security questionnaires.
• Technical Execution: Write actionable requirements for engineering teams and assess architectural feasibility.
• AI Integration: Leverage AI tooling to synthesize customer context, documentation, and development workflows.

What You Bring

• Experience: 7–10 years of product management experience, with at least 4 years in B2B enterprise software.
• Security Domain Expertise: Hands-on knowledge of SIEM, SOAR, XDR, or security operations. Ability to discuss detection engineering and log ingestion pipelines credibly.
• Executive Presence: Proven ability to manage C-level relationships and deliver difficult news without compromising partnerships.
• Structured Thinking: Proficiency in prioritization frameworks (RICE, weighted scoring) and a bias for closure.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal skills, capable of distilling complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.

Location and Travel

This role is remote-first. Travel up to 50% is expected to support strategic accounts, including on-site executive and design-partner engagements.
