About the Role
Elastic Security is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead our XDR strategy and the convergence of exposure and vulnerability management. In this role, you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle, bridging the gap between reactive detection and proactive security posture.
What You Will Be Doing
- Strategy & Execution: Own the XDR roadmap across endpoint, cloud, identity, and network domains, focusing on correlation, incident building, and closed-loop automation.
- Product Expansion: Lead the integration of exposure and vulnerability management (patch management, device control, firewall management) into the XDR core.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Engineering, Security Labs, and Entity Analytics to prioritize asset criticality and threat signals.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary product voice for CISOs and VPs of Security Operations, delivering clear roadmap direction and competitive differentiation.
- Technical Requirements: Author high-quality requirements that enable engineering teams to execute without ambiguity.
- Operational Excellence: Create artifacts like decision memos and competitive briefs to maintain transparency across the organization.
What You Bring
- Experience: 7–10 years of product management experience, with at least 4 years in security or B2B enterprise software.
- Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of XDR, EDR, SIEM, or security operations. A background as a practitioner (SOC analyst, detection engineer) is a significant plus.
- Exposure Fluency: Understanding of the nuances between raw scanning and true exposure prioritization based on exploitability and reachability.
- Analytical Skills: Comprehension of data science techniques behind detection and prioritization; familiarity with AI/ML security is a plus.
- Executive Presence: Ability to communicate complex technical strategies to C-suite stakeholders.
- Remote Collaboration: Proven ability to drive execution in a distributed, matrixed environment.
