Events Marketing Manager - Fellow

The Role

We're hiring our first Events Marketing Manager to own Fellow's events program end to end: webinars, our presence at industry conferences, and the intimate dinners we host around them. You'll decide which events are worth our time and money, make every one of them work as hard as possible, and prove it with numbers.

This is a founding role: you'll build Fellow's events program from the ground up and shape how we show up in the market. We want someone sharp, creative, and AI-forward who treats every event as a chance to build pipeline.

You'll report to the VP of Product Marketing and work closely with sales, product marketing, lifecycle, content, and design.

What You'd Do

Build the plan

  • Own Fellow's annual events calendar across conferences, webinars, and dinners, and decide where we show up and where we don't.
  • Score every event before we commit: who's attending, which target accounts will be there, what it costs, and what pipeline we expect back.
  • Find the angles other sponsors miss: side events, partner co-hosts, speaking slots, hosted breakfasts, and ways to get in front of buyers without the biggest booth.

Run conferences

  • Manage sponsorships, booth and swag, shipping, travel, and vendors from contract to teardown.
  • Work with sales on target account lists, pre-booked meetings, and on-site plans so reps walk in with a full calendar.
  • Travel to events across Canada and the U.S. and run things on the ground.

Host dinners and small-format events

  • Plan executive dinners and roundtables around conferences, from venue and menu to guest list and seating.
  • Build and fill guest lists with sales, using intent and account data to invite the right people.
  • Make every dinner feel personal and worth the evening for the people in the room.

Own our webinar program

  • Plan and produce a regular cadence of webinars and panels, including topics, speakers, partners, and run of show.
  • Recruit outside panelists from customers, partners, and industry voices.
  • Turn every webinar into more: clips, posts, blog content, and nurture emails with the content and lifecycle teams.

Promote and amplify

  • Write and run the promotion plan for every event across email, LinkedIn, paid, partners, and sales outreach.
  • Brief design on event assets and landing pages.
  • Keep events visible before, during, and after, so the people who didn't attend still hear about them.

Follow up and report

  • Own post-event follow-up with sales and lifecycle so no lead sits untouched.
  • Track registrations, attendance, meetings booked, pipeline, and revenue for every event in HubSpot.
  • Report on ROI after each event and each quarter, and use the numbers to decide what we do again, change, or cut.
  • Use AI and automation to cut the manual work out of list building, follow-up, reporting, and recaps.

Who You Are

  • You think in ROI. You can explain why an event is worth doing before you book it, and you'll tell us when one isn't.
  • You own it end to end, from first idea to final report, even when no one has done it here before.
  • You're creative. You come up with formats and promotion tactics that make people stop scrolling or walk across a conference floor.
  • You're great with people. You can host a table of finance executives, work a booth, brief a sales rep, and negotiate with a venue in the same day.
  • You're comfortable on the road, roughly once or twice a month during busy seasons.

Experience

  • 3 to 6 years in events, field marketing, demand generation, or a related marketing role, ideally at a B2B tech company.
  • You've planned and run events yourself, in person or virtual, and can walk us through how they performed.
  • You already use AI tools to research attendees, draft copy, build lists, and automate follow-up.
  • Comfortable with a CRM and marketing automation (we use HubSpot) and with webinar platforms.
  • Strong writer who can produce promo copy, invite emails, and recaps without much editing.

Nice to Have

  • Experience marketing to financial services, fintech, or other regulated industries.
  • Experience running executive dinners, roundtables, or other small, high-touch events.
  • Experience building or scaling a webinar program with measurable results.
  • Experience with account-based marketing and working closely with sales on target accounts.
  • Bilingual in English and French.

Location and Details

  • Type: Full-time
  • Location: Canada preferred (Montreal, Ottawa, or remote in Canada); open to strong candidates in the U.S.
  • Travel: Required, mostly to conferences in North America; candidates must be able to travel to the U.S.
  • Reports to: VP of Product Marketing
