About Fundraise Up
Fundraise Up is a global fundraising platform designed to make donating to nonprofits fast, seamless, and accessible. Our technology processes tens of millions of dollars in donations monthly for leading nonprofits worldwide, including UNICEF and the Alzheimer's Association. We maintain a 4.9/5 rating across top software review platforms. We serve enterprise nonprofits across North America, the UK, Australia, and Europe with a distributed team of over 160 product professionals. Our mission is to unlock the world's generosity potential by optimizing how people give.
About the Role
A charity walk only works when every participant becomes a fundraiser. You'll build the product that makes that happen.
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) is a new Fundraise Up product line that empowers supporters to become fundraisers. It encompasses two connected directions:
- P2P DIY: Covers self-serve campaigns such as birthdays, memorials, and personal challenges.
- P2P Events: Covers structured, time-bound programs like walks, runs, rides, climbs, workplace challenges, and recurring series.
You will own P2P Events, extending the DIY foundation with features like registration, teams and captains, event operations, participant communication, attribution, reporting, and integrations. You will collaborate closely with the PM for the broader P2P area to ensure both directions evolve as one coherent product. This is a hands-on software product role, spanning from discovery to launch and iteration, not an event-planning or project-coordination position.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the product thesis: Translate customer research, market evidence, and business context into a sequenced roadmap. Focus on a specific target segment and event scenario rather than attempting to serve the entire category at once.
- Make explicit platform decisions: Determine which capabilities belong in the shared P2P foundation and which require an Events-specific model. Ensure assumptions, success metrics, scope, risks, and decisions are visible.
- Lead discovery at the source: Work directly with nonprofit event teams, participants, design partners, and internal Go-To-Market (GTM) teams. Validate through interviews, workflow mapping, prototypes, and live usage.
- Separate signal from noise: Distinguish real adoption blockers from feature requests and expectations set by incumbent products. Shape solutions for problems such as registration, teams and captains, attribution, event operations, participant communication, and CRM integrations.
- Own delivery end to end: Write clear requirements, acceptance criteria, edge cases, and decision records. Make day-to-day trade-offs with Engineering, Design, Analytics, Research, and QA, surfacing risks and dependencies early.
- Build for what comes next without overbuilding now: Design the first release to allow for growth from simple events to advanced team structures, event series, and operational workflows.
- Launch through early access programs (EAPs): Establish clear entry criteria, success measures, readiness requirements, and out-of-scope areas. Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, CSM, and Support on positioning, commitments, enablement, and competitive context.
- Drive outcomes, not output: Track whether organizations run events successfully and whether participants activate, fundraise, and return. Connect evidence to adoption, expansion, pipeline, retention, and Gross Processing Volume (GPV), then make clear decisions: iterate, expand, change direction, or stop.
- Work AI-native: At Fundraise Up, AI is a default tool. We expect every team member to actively use AI in their daily work, identify where AI can transform problems in their function, and grow their fluency as tools evolve. For this role, this includes research synthesis, prototyping, improved specifications, data exploration, and automation, without ceding product judgment to the tools.
Skills and Qualifications
- 4–7 years of Product Management or Product Ownership experience in a software product company.
- End-to-end ownership of a customer-facing product area, collaborating with Engineering and Design.
- Strong judgment in narrowing a large problem space to a focused release and articulating the trade-offs.
- Experience translating customer evidence and product data into decisions.
- Clear written communication across requirements, edge cases, metrics, and decision records.
- Comfort with multi-actor workflows, permissions, states, and data relationships.
- High ownership and independence, with fluent written and spoken English.
- Fluent in Russian and English (C1+).
Nice to Have
- Experience with B2B SaaS, fundraising, payments, registration, events, community, or other multi-sided products.
- Launching a new product area through beta or EAP.
- Experience with CRM integrations, reporting, transaction attribution, analytics, or SQL.
You'll Thrive Here If You…
- Want to help decide what gets built, not just receive a finished roadmap.
- Are equally comfortable with specs, QA, and post-launch iteration as you are with strategy.
- Treat customer requests as evidence, not commitments.
- Keep moving forward when scope is uncertain and the answer isn't immediately obvious.
- Prefer a flat structure where the best argument wins, not the loudest title.
- Would rather put a testable prototype in front of users than debate it for a week.
- Measure yourself by customer and business outcomes, not features shipped.
- Want to own what you build for the long term.
