About Us
Future is building a personalized guidance system for lifelong health. We help people understand what to do next for their body, goals, and stage of life — then support them in turning those decisions into sustained behavior change. By combining AI, human expertise, personal health data, and accountability, Future helps members improve performance today while building the resilience, capacity, and healthspan they need for decades to come.
Who We Are
Future pairs each member with an expert coach who gets to know them, their goals, and their data, then builds a healthier life around all of it. We started in fitness, and we're now going further: a coaching-led health experience that brings together movement, nutrition, sleep and recovery, and leverages real clinical data to build precise, custom member protocols. Our offering is continuing to evolve and we're looking for coaches who want to help shape it.
About the Role
Role Type: 1099 (independent contractor) Full-time
As a Health Coach, you'll own a caseload of members and guide each of them from their first day through their progress milestones. This is a partner role, not a prescriber role: you draw out what a member actually wants, meet them where they are, and help them build habits that last across nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress. You'll coach through a mix of virtual face-to-face sessions and day-to-day messaging, and you'll use each member's data to make your guidance specific and personal. The members we serve expect high-touch, polished care, with the coach at the center of their experience.
What You'll Do
- Own your members' experience end to end: Guide a caseload of members from onboarding through their 90-day milestone and beyond, ensuring every member feels individually known.
- Coach live and asynchronously: Run virtual kickoff and check-in sessions, and support members between sessions over messaging that stays warm, timely, and clear.
- Build personalized, data-informed plans: With the support of AI tooling, translate each member's goals and data into a plan across fitness, nutrition, sleep, and recovery, adjusting as life and results evolve.
- Coach the person, not just the plan: Use motivational interviewing and reflective listening to help members find their own reasons for change and choose their next steps.
- Make the data useful: Under the guidance of Future’s Clinical Team, contextualize body composition scans, bloodwork, and GLP-1 considerations within your scope into actionable daily habits.
- Make progress visible: Track progress against member-defined goals and celebrate behavior and consistency wins.
- Help build: Share insights from members to help shape an evolving coaching program.
Who You Are
- Empathetic: You lead with care and meet people where they are.
- Independent and collaborative: You can manage a high-volume caseload autonomously while actively engaging with teammates.
- An active community member: You participate in calls, contribute to projects, and share constructive feedback.
- Proactive: You take initiative, chase down answers, and follow up independently.
- Tech-savvy: You adapt quickly to new tools and are comfortable navigating apps, data, and platforms.
Requirements
- NBC-HWC Certification: Full board certification through the National Board for Health & Wellness Coaching is required.
- Education: Associate's degree or higher (or equivalent, experience-based path to coaching certification).
- Experience: 2+ years of client-facing coaching or training experience, capable of running member sessions immediately.
- Caseload Management: Demonstrated track record of managing a high-volume book of clients while maintaining high personalization.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication for video sessions and polished written communication for ongoing messaging.
- Data Synthesis: Track record of synthesizing data from nutrition apps and wearable devices into comprehensive coaching plans.
- Location: Residence in an approved state: AZ, FL, GA, NC, OH, SC, TN, TX, or UT.
