Overview
As a Customer Success Engineer, you will help customers get real, measurable value from GitLab post-sale by providing technical product expertise and best practice guidance. You'll be part of the Customer Success Engineer team delivering GitLab's On-Demand Success Tier through webinars, hands-on labs, office hours, and on-demand engagements.
This is a pooled model rather than account-dedicated. You will collaborate closely with Customer Success Managers, Account Executives, and Renewals Managers to support implementation, architecture, and use case adoption across GitLab's core workflows, including SCM, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Agile Planning.
What You'll Do
- Engage with customers via Zoom and email as a technical consultant during post-sales, offering product, solution, and best-practice guidance.
- Partner with Customer Success Managers to provide in-depth implementation guidance on source code management, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Agile Planning.
- Deliver customer enablement through webinars, hands-on labs, office hours, and on-demand sessions in a pooled support model.
- Provide architectural and technical guidance that connects technical decisions to business outcomes.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Renewals Managers to deliver customer-facing subject matter expertise supporting renewal and expansion goals.
- Develop and deliver workshops, demos, and reusable technical enablement content.
- Build and maintain specialty competencies in key market technologies through continuous learning, certifications, and working code examples.
- Contribute to learning resources including GitLab documentation, YouTube content, and Digital Journey enablement programs.
What You'll Bring
- Fluency in English and Spanish. Trilingual proficiency in English, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese is a strong plus.
- Location in the United States, Mexico, or Brazil.
- Experience supporting GitLab use cases (SCM, CI/CD, DevSecOps, or Agile Planning) with practical, hands-on technical guidance.
- Proficiency with DevSecOps tooling and the ability to translate technical features into customer business outcomes.
- Technical background in software development or systems engineering, with comfort discussing software architecture and implementation tradeoffs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across live Zoom sessions, workshops, and documentation.
- Proven experience serving as a trusted technical advisor in a post-sales setting.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills within a pooled, multi-engagement model.
- A continuous learning mindset and willingness to build specialty competencies.
