The Role

As a Strategic Account Executive, you will provide account leadership and direction throughout the pre- and post-sales process. You will be responsible for prospecting, developing opportunities, and ensuring the successful rollout and adoption of GitLab products within large, strategic accounts.

Responsibilities

• Account Leadership: Provide direction in pre- and post-sales processes and develop account plans based on customer business needs.
• Sales Execution: Prospect and develop new opportunities, conduct sales activities, and utilize a consultative approach to develop formal proposals and presentations.
• Customer Advocacy: Act as the voice of the customer by contributing product ideas to our public issue tracker and communicating customer needs to product managers and technical support.
• Collaboration: Work closely with strategic channel partners, marketing teams, and technical staff to drive growth.
• Reporting: Prepare activity and forecast reports, and contribute to root cause analysis on wins and losses.

Requirements

• Experience selling into large organizations.
• Proven ability to leverage established relationships and sales techniques.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision on complex projects.
• A strong desire to see customers succeed through their investment in GitLab.
• Preferred: Experience with Git, Software Development Tools, and Application Lifecycle Management.
• Ability to travel as needed in accordance with company policy.
